Northern California's biggest haunted attraction returns to the Alameda County Fairgrounds for its 36th year, with four walk-through haunted houses, a midway, food and live bands. New for 2026, games are included with most ticket types. Two things catch people out. Tickets are online only this year — there are no sales at the gate, and capacity limits mean the weekend nights close to Halloween sell out in advance. And entry gates shut a full hour before the published closing time, with no exceptions, so a 10pm night means being inside by 9pm. Tickets start at $38 for the Two for You pass (any two houses) and $48 for General Admission (all four). Speed Pass is $73 and VIP is $108, both with shorter entry lines; VIP allows unlimited re-entry to each house. Add $10 on the two Premium Nights, October 24 and 31, plus a $3.50 fee per ticket. Groups of 20 or more get $5 off each. Anyone under 16 must be with someone 21 or over. Live bands play most nights: CREEPO on Oct 2, 3, 16, 17, 23 and 24; Shark in the Water on Oct 9, 10, 11, 18 and 28; Skeleton Cru on Oct 22, 25 and 29; Mojo Missing on Oct 15; and Live The Day closing the season on Oct 30, 31 and Nov 1.
