Fear Overload has moved to Newpark Mall in Newark — if you remember it from San Leandro, it isn't there any more. One ticket covers both haunted houses plus live entertainment in the queue and the horror boutique on site. Both houses are new for 2026. Fear Overload: Final Descent is the darkest chapter yet of the long-running haunt, and Greyhaven Hospital: After Visiting Hours is a condemned medical facility with flickering surgical lights, rusted gurneys and nurses who insist the operations are mandatory. Not recommended for children 12 and under — the operators say so themselves, and they mean it. Forbes named it among the best haunted houses in the West. Two things worth planning around. Most nights sell out, so buy ahead rather than turning up. And on November 6 and 7 only, the park runs Lights Out: the power fails completely, the houses go pitch black, and you get a single dim glowstick to find your way through.
