Terror Vault returns to the Old San Francisco Mint with SLASHED: Return to Hellville, an interactive horror experience spread across three floors of the 1874 building with around 100 performers a night. 18+ with valid ID — this is not a family haunt. VIP tickets add the Wainwright Family Carnival, a pre-show midway hosted by a ringmaster called Pinwheel, and are only available on time slots between 5:30pm and 8:00pm. Two add-ons sell in person only, so decide on the night: the Escape Tomb is a five-minute solo challenge where you are hooded and led into the basement alone, and the Vault of Visions offers one-on-one tarot readings with two local psychics. Worth knowing if you're not buying a ticket: Fang Bang, the vampire bar, is open to the public with no cover charge during show hours.
